Last day of school costume

Yes, my last day of elementary school is approaching (May 26th) and it's tradition to dress up.
Now, you have two choices: Dress up in a humorous way or a rather slutty way. I'll try to avoid both.

Anyway, here's what I'm wearing

I'm not sure whether I'll wear the headband or not, but I'm going to wear stockings underneath the dress in a colour I haven't decided on yet.

High Hopes - Pink Floyd
This one together with Take it Back are my favourites on this album and
probably among my favourite Floyd songs overall. It's simply beautiful.

Everybody, Nobody - George Harrison
I've been slightly obsessed with ATMP sessions lately, especially Beware of ABCKO!
It's wonderful to hear the songs without the Wall of Sound, just George and a guitar. Unless my memory fails me completely, this is an early version of Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp.

Since it's been over a month since I last blogged..

A few things that has happened since then:

• I've become (very) fond of Pink Floyd
• I might go to a Beatles exhibition on the 25th (George's birthday!). I went last year as well, but because it's George's birthday there'll be a special focus on him, plus I'm nowhere near done looking around the exhibition.
• My family had two little Norwegian girls (and their mum) visiting.
• I think that's it.

(Sort of) self portrait

In celebration of the celebrity of its passengers, the door to the TWA 707 carrying the Beatles was adorned with these paper cutouts representing the Fab Four. At this point in their career, the Beatles phenomenon was in full swing; their every move was tracked by millions of fans and a transfixed press. Featured in these lot are the autographed paper heads of George, Paul, and John. The cutouts, as originally made, featured only the mop-top hairstyles atop a blank white face - it was up to each Beatle to fill in the blank space with their own individual expression. Each head is autographed by the respective Beatle in a thick black marker.
Though often comparatively quiet and introspective, George Harrison could crack-wise and enjoyed a good laugh. He drew himself as smiling with laughing eyes and a pointy-nose. He has signed the "chin" neatly in bold cursive letters. The original cutout is shown in a three-quarters profile. The verso shows marks from tape and glue where it was affixed to the airplane door.
